Facilitate Personalised Learning with AI Chatbot (Ms Annie Yiu)

What does it mean to be an educator when Artificial Intelligence can provide instant, personalized support to every student? Ms Annie Yiu from Ling To Catholic Primary School addressed this question in her breakout session. Moving beyond the hype, she presented a vision where AI serves as a dedicated learning partner, enabling teachers to deepen their impact. Her work demonstrates how these tools are not about automating instruction, but about amplifying a teacher's ability to cater to the individual needs and potential of each child.

Her session included practical applications of AI that are already active in her primary school English classroom. From using platforms like Microsoft's Reading Progress for literacy development to creating specialized AI chat rooms for conversational practice, Annie illustrated a hands-on approach to integration. The resources she shared offer educators a valuable toolkit of strategies to harness AI for fostering critical thinking, building self-confidence in writing, and creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment for all.
